Tollywood Box Office: 3 super-hit films in first halferly of 2013

Only a very few hit movies are released in Tollywood in the first quarter of 2013. Approximately 52 films including a few dubbed films are also released in the early of this year. But the sad fact is most of the films failed to hit the box office. Lots of big budget films from super heroes became super duper hits. In the midst of superstar films, there were also some low budget films that tried to make average business in collection.

In other southern film industry, big budget film has not seen tremendous success at the Box Office. But some of the high budget Tollywood films have recorded huge success after their release and made a successful run. Some of the three top films to name are Naayak, Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu (SVSC) and Mirchi that have made cash ringing throughout their run. Overwhelming responses were created for SVSC from the audience and it collected more than Rs.50 crore on a usual investment.
Naayak starring Ram charan Teja, Prabhas starring in Mirchi are commercial entertainers with a blend of action and comedy and it made great impact among the masses. Naayak collected Rs.60 crore while Mirchi made a collection of Rs.45 crore. Mirchi made a comeback to Prabhas’ declining career. Unlike these two action and comedy films, SVSC is a multi starrer family drama which is close to the heart of family audience. Its story runs around a middle class family and is enhanced with the action of Venkatesh, Mahesh babu, Prakash Raj, Anjali and Samantha. Dialogues and music add to the popularity of the film.

In addition to these block buster films, some other notable hit movies include Manchu Lakshmi's Gundello Godari (GG), and swamy ra ra. There were also some disastrous movies in the tollywood acted by leading actors.
